What does this mean?
Prior to April 1st, first-time buyers paid no stamp duty when buying a home worth £425,000. From April 1st 2025, this threshold has dropped to £300,000, meaning first-time buyers have gone from paying nothing to paying £6,250 on stamp duty.
As a first-time buyer when you purchase a home at Upper East, we will cover the difference up to a maximum of £6,250 dependent upon the purchase price.*
